The Dubai Municipality issued a notice on Wednesday said that it will start the construction work of the iconic Dubai Frame project next to the Stargate theme park in Zabeel Park. The construction will begin from next month. The Director-General of the Dubai Municipality, Hussain Nasser Lootah, announced the project and said the Dubai Frame project will be implemented according to the plan.
The project that cost around Dirhams 120 million will built a window-shaped structure that will show the panoramic views of old and new Dubai from a 150 feet-high glass bridge. The plan was started in July 2012 with a schedule to complete it by this year end.
The frame will be installed near the Stargate of Zabeel Park which is a famous location for visitors and tourists. Stargate is an edutainment theme park situated near the Gate 4 of Zabeel Park. The image of Dubai Frame released by the Dubai Municipality on Wednesday showed the square tower with transparent glass walls in dusk bronze colour.
The conceptual design proposal of the Dubai Frame tower by Fernando Donis from the Netherlands was among 926 entries for the 11th ThyssenKrupp Elevator Award and had won $100,000.
